Hey! My name is Elisabeth and I began my parenting journey when my son, Isaiah, was born in January of 2010. I’ve been learning wonderful things along the way. I am by no means an expert, but I would love to share all I’ve learned with others. Isaiah is growing and changing every day, as is my parenting. Each day we each learn a little something new. On this blog, I’d like to share about some of my parenting choices. I will do my best to explain what I’m doing and why I choose to do it.
As I’ve researched, learned and experimented, I’ve begun to tend greatly toward natural or attachment parenting. I’ve found that it works best for both me and Isaiah. Some of my choices are very different from those of friends and family, others are similar. I’ve received a great deal of advice from so many people. It was all so different and some was in direct opposition to what someone else had told me. I finally came to the conclusion that there is no one right way to parent. Right now, my goal is to find the parenting style that is best for Isaiah. In the future, if I have more children, I may find that things that worked perfectly for Isaiah just don’t cut it with another child. I’m okay with that. Every child is unique.
I’m reserving this blog to be informational, rather than just bits and pieces of everything. I have a blog that’s just about my life in general with lots of pictures, thoughts and fun stories. You’re welcome to check that out if you’d like, too, or simply ignore it and enjoy the information I’ve put here. One of my main purposes for keeping the blogs separate is that I know that some of the things I say here will be controversial. I welcome any and all comments, whether you agree with me or not. In fact, I’d love some differing opinions! It gives me yet another opportunity to learn. I just want to keep my daily life blog friendly and fun because it is more to keep friends and family up to date on my life and share my experiences.
